Why We're Watching

Stories that focus on difficult topics, such as a loss in the family, can teach us a lot about how to come together and triumph over difficulty, deal with tragedy with dignity and grace, and how these experiences can actually bring us closer together. This isn’t one of those stories. As Madea says, a funeral in a black family is an entire event. What should be simple and respectable family matters turn into a hilarious disaster for Madea (as usual) and we get to watch her roll up her sleeves, tell others to have a seat, and set everyone straight, the way only she can.
