Why We're Watching

Spend the evening previewing 2017 "Oscar" nominated films, just a few days before the biggest movie award show of the year, while sampling perfectly paired wines. Gary will walk through the top nominations for this year's 89th Annual Academy Awards. Hayley will join the discussion pairing a selection of wines with key award contenders and categories. Light appetizers will be included with the selections.

The evening will feature a live auction, including same wines every celebrity will be drinking at this year's "Oscars," and All-Access Star Passes for this year's Dallas International Film Festival, with proceeds benefiting the Dallas Film Society. Every attendee will receive a ticket to Studio Movie Grill to see one of this year's nominees on a future date.

Gary Cogill is an Emmy award-winning journalist, film producer, and speaker. For 24 years Gary served as the film critic for WFAA-TV in Dallas, reviewing over 10,000 films, and conducting more than 20,000 interviews. Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine, Hayley Hamilton Cogill, is Founder & President of Dallas Uncorked, and the Wine & Spirits writer for D Magazine. Together they host the weekly podcast, "Cogill Wine & Film, A Perfect Pairing," on reVolver Podcasts.
